They each drove to Alary’s, a downtown sports bar not far from the Law Enforcement Center and a popular hangout for off-duty police officers, firefighters, attorneys, and city and state workers. The bar featured thirty, fifty-inch flat-screen plasma TVs; police, fire and sports memorabilia; and young, pretty waitresses in tight T-shirts and short skirts.
